What You Will Learn
Defensive Handgun 1 bridges the gap between fundamental handgun skills and real-world defensive applications, teaching the operation of the pistol while pushing for high standards of precision. This comprehensive course elevates the shooter’s skill level, regardless of previous experience, transitioning them from basic marksmanship in controlled environments to engaging multiple targets and zones. Utilizing scenario examples, low-light conditions, and moving targets, DH1 prepares shooters for a wide range of defensive situations.
Owning a handgun is one thing; knowing how to use it effectively in a defensive situation is another. The Defensive Handgun 1 (DH1) course equips you with essential skills for safe and effective defensive handgun operation. This course covers the fundamentals of gun safety, drawing, loading, and managing malfunctions. In addition to these basic skills, DH1 delves into “advanced techniques” such as firing at extended distances, engaging moving targets, shooting while on the move, communication, and use of cover.
Whether you’re new to handgun shooting, seeking professional training for the first time, or a seasoned shooter wanting to refresh your core skills, DH1 provides a solid foundation for defensive handgun proficiency.
